Keith Emerson - founder and keyboardist of the rock group - Emerson, Lake and Palmer - has died at the age of 71. Police say he took his own life. Emerson played the keyboard in the group, who released nine studio albums during the 1970s. Tim Allman looks back on his career.
Please plug in some headphones to listen to this, this album was remastered in a way that requires a binaural experience (organs come out the right channel, synths come out the left channel, vocals pan through both) Unless you have a really nice 5.1 Stereo setup, I suggest you use headphones for the full intended effect of this album.

I feared for ELP star Keith (Martin Townsend, Sunday Express, 13.03.2016)

Rest in Peace!

=========================

The Nice (Keith Emerson) - Karelia Suite 1969 using Hammond L100 with Leslie cabinets.
The video shows Emerson throwing his L100 about and using the on/off switch to create the great rock effects that he has become known for - Emerson had previously learnt about these 'tricks' some years earlier from the legendary organist Don Shinn who played organ with The Soul Agents.
Keith Emerson acknowledges that Don Shinn was a pioneer within the progressive rock movement during the late 60's and that he, Shinn, had a major influence on Emerson's style of playing.

Rachel Flowers Plays The Endless Enigma -- Tribute to Keith Emerson. Rachel Flowers was one of several performers paying Tribute to the Life of Keith Emerson. This was a one time performance at Symphony Hall In Birmingham, England, July 28, 2017. I apologize for the periodic shakiness of the video, I have an 18-300mm zoom lens that was nearly at maximum zoom where even slight moves appear as big ones since I had no no tripod. I don't know who cried more, Rachel or me!
