Französische Politikerinnen über Sexismus: "Trägst du einen String?"

Sie waren Ministerinnen - und sie erlebten sexuelle Belästigung. 17 französische Politikerinnen prangern in einem Appell Sexismus am Arbeitsplatz an. Darunter: die heutige IWF-Chefin Christine Lagarde.
"Wir werden nicht mehr schweigen", teilen 17 französische Politikerinnen in einem Appell mit, der einige männliche Kollegen mindestens nervös machen sollte.

"Wir waren Ministerinnen", heißt es in dem Aufruf, der am Sonntag in der Wochenzeitung "Journal du Dimanche" erschien, "wie alle Frauen, die in zuvor ausschließlich männliche Domänen gelangten, mussten wir das hinnehmen und gegen Sexismus kämpfen." Zu den Unterzeichnerinnen gehört auch die ehemalige französische Wirtschafts- und Finanzministerin und heutige IWF-Chefin Christine Lagarde.

Die ehemaligen Ministerinnen von Sozialisten, Konservativen oder Grünen kündigen darin an, im Kampf gegen sexuelle Übergriffe männliches Fehlverhalten zukünftig offensiv anzuprangern. Ihre Forderung: "Schluss mit der Straffreiheit."

Als Beispiele werden Aussagen genannt wie: "Abgesehen von ihren tollen Brüsten, wie ist sie?", "Dein Rock ist zu lang, der muss gekürzt werden" oder die Frage "Trägst du einen String?".

Vor wenigen Tagen erst hatten nach Vorwürfen gegen einen französischen Parlamentarier mehr als 500 Politiker und Aktivisten in der "Libération" kollektives Schweigen über sexuelle Belästigung auch in Frankreichs Politik angeprangert. Hinter vorgehaltener Hand seien Übergriffe oft bekannt, es werde aber nichts dagegen unternommen.

Die französische Justiz ermittelt wegen Fahrlässigkeit gegen die Chefin des Internationalen Währungsfonds Christine Lagarde. Die 58-Jährige muss sich in einer Affäre um mutmaßliche Veruntreuung öffentlicher Mittel verantworten. Dazu war die Chefin des IWF heute erneut in Paris befragt worden. Lagarde sagte, dass sie nicht beabsichtige, von ihrem Posten zurückzutreten. Noch heute kehre sie an ihren Arbeitsplatz in Washington zurück.
